The Yerba Buena Method has been created after a solid 25 years period of research around the basics of Salsa & Mambo. The system is built on the idea that Salsa & Mambo dancing is a unique movement culture that can enrich everyone with the exploration of a deep connection to their own bodies. It was created out of a need to express oneself freely as an individual and in connection to others. The Yerba Buena Method focuses on the individual dancer, its center and strength, as well as on the tools needed to create an honest connection by dancing with a partner. The Yerba Buena Method distinguishes improvisation as the dominant stone to Partner Connection and prioritizes the idea of dominating improvisation over quoting patterns. This allows anyone to dance freely but with respect to each other, sharing the same space and time. All these systems form a coherent unit, designed for Salsa & Mambo creative development, study, research & teaching. Open to everyone!
